Job Description
Will maintain, support, and testserver software, leveraging our clients technologies for wireless telecommunications carriers worldwide. Position will be in professional services providing tier-1 and tier-2 onsite server support for customers. Primary responsibilities will be to support wireless carrier server deployments after service launch, develop and maintain maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and support program management for customers. Responsible for customer interface and internal communication to product development teams.
Will ensure that customer objectives and needs are met and supported in deployed system solution.
Qualifications:
Requires BS Computer Science or related degree and 3+ years commercial webserver software and database support experience. Must have strong interpersonal skills and customer facing experience. Must have strong project management experience. Should have recent experience Java (J2EE) on UNIX platforms. Recent PERL and UNIX shell scripting development also a plus. Ability to analyze, evaluate and solve problems of a difficult process or technical nature is required.
Specific technical experience must include 4+ years of UNIX platform administration and support, preferably on Solaris. Redhat Enterprise Linux and high-availability software such as Veritas Cluster are a plus. Database administration experience required. Java experience should include J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC. Prefer experience with SOAP, WSDL and other web services technologies.
Experience with wireless carrier networks server support is highly preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Position requires an individual that is imaginative, self-motivated, able to work effectively and intimately with customers.
