Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst who has proven expertise in identifying opportunities, designing and implementing internal business processes and applications that enhance the efficiency and profitability of our business stakeholders

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience working with formal software development an project management methodologies
  • Experience with use case analysis, data flow analysis and process re-engineering.
  • Previous experience in OO, Java and SQL Server development environment
  • Experience with risk assessment and identification of internal control gaps.
  • Proven skill developing comprehensive functional specifications for small and large processes.
  • Business Acumen and knowledge of general business concepts including cost-benefit analysis and business case preparation.
  • Expert knowledge of support tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
  • Experience working with MS Project an asset.
  • Project Management skills a definite asset.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Be responsive to client requirements and effectively communicate client needs to the project team in a timely, effective fashion.
  • Self starter who works well with little supervision and is comfortable working to tight deadlines.

Job Description:

  • Documentation of internal customer requirements through clear and well-structured detailed business requirements.
  • Gather requirements in-group and / or individual settings and manage the discussions.
  • Identify opportunities for service/productivity improvement through the application of technology and a strong understanding of the business.
  • Support the development, testing, and implementation efforts and conduct research and business analysis of value-added applications and processes.
  • Work independently and or through a team consisting of a Project Manager and developers to define and deliver project objectives and/or initiate project objectives with input from business unit(s).
  • Identify and define any required functionality changes, initiate change requests, and coordinate those changes through the application life cycle, where applicable.

Education:

  • Business degree with 10+ years Business Analysis experience on enterprise initiatives
  • Designation in Computer Science with 2+ years of experience, an asset.
