Bachelor's level degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
3 years experience in DSP firmware programming
Design experience must be demonstrated with TI TMS320C6X DSP family along with the associated tool sets
Knowledge of video codecs, audio codecs, IP communications and security applications would be definite assets
Exposure to low-level firmware and hardware design concepts are beneficial, but not required

Excellent oral and written English language skills are very important as the position requires continuous interaction with both internal staff and external contractors.
An ideal candidate can work independently within a larger design group with minimal supervision.
